Pre-order the Batman TV series now!

This blog is technically dormant when it comes to new posts, but here's a bit of new from our parent blog, Pop Culture Safari, that's worth nothing here"

Updating a post from earlier today: Amazon is listing the Complete 1960s Batman TV for pre-order in both a regular DVD edition and "limited edition" Blu-ray.

No details on either, yet, but we'll keep you posted.

The DVD set is listed at $179.74 (regular price $199.70) while the Blu-ray set is $188.98 (regular price $269.97).

I'd imagine the price, at least for the DVD set, will drop a bit. Amazon does have its pre-order price guarantee, though, if you just can't bear to wait any longer. The means you'll be credited for any difference if the price drops between the time you order and the time the set ships.

Go to Pop Culture Safari for Bat-posts!

I'm simplifying my life and focusing all my blogging on  my main, first, online outpost: Pop Culture Safari. I hope you'll join me there for pop culture posts of all types -- including more Batman!

I plan to leave this blog as-is, but likely won't post new information here unless I have a change of mind.

Thanks for visiting!

It's coming! Complete 1960s Batman TV series on disk! Really!

I wondered if I'd ever see the day... Details are still on the way, but USA Today has confirmed -- tipped off by Tweet by Conan O'Brien -- that all three seasons of the Batman TV series starring Adam West are finally coming to DVD and, I presume, Blu-ray (I may need to buy a Blu-ray player...) later this year.

Stay tuned!

New Batman 1966 Batman 1966 bendies and keychains!

Listed at Entertainment Earth are these the bendable Batman '66 figures from N.J. Croce:

Buy a 1966 Batman utility belt!

Available via Mattel's collector site, Matty Collector, is a 1966 replica Batman utility belt. Handy, but it'll set you back $125.

Details:
No joke… if you’re going to vanquish villains and save Gotham City, you’ll need a groovy utility belt just like the one worn by Batman™ in the 1960s television series!

Created with Warner Bros. Entertainment and designed to fit adults, the 43” belt is authentically styled and includes four pouches that open from the bottom, just like they did on the show. It also features four opening tubes and a 12” blue plastic Batarang that folds up neatly to slide right into one of the pouches for hands-free crime fighting.
